The Fight to Save Eagles

Mike McTee, author of Wilted Wings, was recently interviewed with Vince Slabe on the Mountain & Prairie podcast.

McTee's new book is focused through the lens of a hunter and scientist, and examines the impacts of human activities on wild eagles. Vince Slabe is a Wildlife Biologist with Conservation Science Global, and contributing writer to Science.org.

Hearing these two talk together about research that is at the forefront of both their skillsets, and which is a hot topic in the contemporary field of conservation science, is sort of like hearing Bob Dylan and Janis Joplin jamming out to protest the Vietnam War.

“Follow Mctee across the Montana landscape as he chases his winged companions to learn the negative effects that humans and hunters are having on these animals. It’s a story of accountability and the pursuit of what is right instead of what is easy. I hope this book inspires you to stand up for something you believe in the way it did for me. After all, what could be more patriotic in this country than saving countless eagles along the way.” —Adam Brown, Outside Bozeman
